After our day off in Nimes we set off to a small town called St Martin... It started raining soon after we left but fortunately didn't last.
highlights of the day were:
finding a cycle track off the main busy road (Byrdies 8 year old book was too out of date to inform us of this)

passing the St Loup canine peaks. huge steep mountains. one even had the ruins of a castle on top (those fairy tales where the castle is always almost impossible to get to actually have some truth)
books in english at campsite. and good ones. and for FREE...
oh and the cool 3 seater bike at the campground
soon after setting up at our campsite the rain started, and did not let up... we sheltered in the bar area of the campsite... bought a bottle of wine, consumed it.... friendly camp guy topped it up for free. then we didn't particular feel like cooking dinner... so Byrdie finally got her wish of having rice pudding for dinner (she would quite happily live on rice, oats, bread and milk. and biscuits. and chocolate).
Today we cycled through another gorge. Particular spectacular after all the rain (Byrdie was just reading some news articles that areas in the region have been evacuated due to flooding) and the sun was out! We spent some time at a lovely village along the gorge... now we are sheltering in this internet cafe from another downpour :( and this afternoon we head to a campground near a lake.
