Barcelona

We took a train from Girona to Barcelona yesterday. While I went to a supermarket, Byrdie consulted the maps to see which would be the easiest way to get to our hostel. Biking will be fun... she guessed about 3km.....

11km later in 33 degree celcius heat and uphill we arrive at hostel... I wasn´t even wearing cycle clothes... my knit shorts got very sweaty... At the 7km point she said in her big sister voice ¨well Joy, just think this is the last time going up on a fully loaded bike¨. I´m thinking. that´s the last time on a bike. full stop. we have actually taken the train in each time and have even bought 10 trip tickets... whew...

Hostel is very cool with great facilities (and cheap!). They have a lot of special staff working there.

Today was pretty much Gaudi day. We started at the famous Sagrada Familia and went up into two of the towers...

We also went to the Parc Guell, which has some amazing structures...

On the way we called in at the hospital because someone mentioned the buildings were special...
