The following day we did some washing and then cycled to the popular lake: Morskie Oko. The idea was to cycle the entire way to the lake, as there appeared to be a good road to get there. We arrived at the carpark (many, many cars) and were told no bikes, and a 2 hr walk! just what we felt like with our sore muscles from the previous day. but we did the 9km each way walk along with many others. The road was nicely sealed and wide, so would have been easily bikable. We could have taken an overpriced horse and cart up though... The lake was beautiful. but the crowds of people drinking beer and eating popcorn and icecreams take away from the isolated nature feel somewhat.
