Well, I have now "pimped my ride" with mudflaps and all the other bits and pieces...
I did a bit of bike riding in Palmy. But it is so flat I don't feel prepared for the hills.
Our flights had all being booked to fly to Istanbul with a short stopover in Frankfurt, after a trip to Taiwan. Then we decided to book a flight to Cappadocia (inland Turkey) after people said we HAVE to go there.... and that the Hot Air Ballooning was amazing. Then I discovered that an exchange student from high school , Judith lives in Frankfurt. So we changed our flights to have an extended stopover in Frankfurt. Then discovered that Judith would arrive the day after we left and that March is the off season for hot air ballooning and other touristy stuff in Cappadocia.... Doh! We really should do more research before booking stuff. (hee, hee this is after Byrdie has looked at a million options for flights getting there and overcomplicating things - ay Rose-Anna).
Ah well... getting excited now. Only just under 4 weeks to go. Just in case I find that too stressful I have a holiday in Melbourne next week with Amy (where I was going to catch up with my old flatmate, but he has just moved to Brisbane, will this be a repeating pattern?). Unfortunately I won't be able to (or shouldn't) do a lot of shopping because I shouldn't be spending money and I can't take many clothes or anything on our trip. Which is a whole other drama. three outfits, including my sexy cycle gear!! A few people have been shocked that I won't be wearing jeans for 6 months...
